In honor of the verra first Hot Scot Saturday, here are five swoon-worthy quotes from the ultimate (fictional) Hot Scot: James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser (Jamie) of the Outlander series by the fabulous (and slightly twisted) Diana Gabaldon. Since I’ll likely be doing Jamie quotes a lot, I’ll stick to the first book today.
“You wouldna expect me to be less bold than a wee Sassenach lassie, now would ye?”
“You are safe. You have my name and my family, my clan, and if necessary, the protection of my body as well.”
“You’re mine, mo duinne. Mine alone, now and forever. Mine, whether ye will it or no.”
“I was crying for joy, my Sassenach. And thanking God that I have to hands. That I have two hands to hold you with. To serve you with, to love you with. Thanking God that I am a whole man still because of you.”
“I mean to make you sigh as though your heart would break, and scream with the wanting, and at last to cry out in my arms, and I shall know that I’ve served ye well.”
I can’t wait to here some of these come to life in the next few weeks on Outlander on Starz (tonight at 9ET). Now excuse me while I swoon.
